QuiAnne' Holmes of Wilmington honored at Clemson University awards ceremony

QuiAnne' Holmes of Wilmington was honored at the Clemson University Division of Student Affairs awards breakfast and recognition ceremony.

Holmes, who is a Master of Education Counselor Education (Student Affairs) major, received the 2018 Walter T. Cox Outstanding Graduate Student Award.

The award is presented in memory of the 10th university president and longtime vice president for Student Affairs. It is given to a first-year graduate student employed by the Division of Student Affairs. The recipient must show ongoing excellence as a member of the community, encourage participation in campus efforts and demonstrate a commitment to and appreciation of diversity through collaborative efforts. Holmes is a graduate assistant within the Office of Advocacy and Success, she routinely meets with students to keep them informed of campus resources and to offer support in their overall success. Holmes is a member of the Student Personnel Association leadership team and is also a member of the Student Advisory Board for Student Affairs. She is a member of Chi Sigma Alpha honor society and is pursuing a master's degree in counselor education, with an emphasis in student affairs.
