Liz Hammond of Henderson honored at Clemson University awards ceremony

Liz Hammond of Henderson was honored at the Clemson University Division of Student Affairs awards breakfast and recognition ceremony.

Hammond, who is a Master of Education Counselor Education (Student Affairs) major, received the 2018 R.C. Edwards Outstanding Graduate Student Award.

The award is presented in memory of the longtime president best known for leading Clemson from an all-male military college to a major coeducational and integrated university. It is given to a graduate student with a minimum 3.25 GPA who boasts high scholarly achievement and is a contributing member of the community through leadership. Hammond is a graduate assistant with Campus Activities & Events, Hammond has been significantly involved in developing the late-night programming calendar for the Barnes Center. She also serves as the primary advisor for the student programming board through an internship with Furman University. Hammond is also enrolled in the counselor education master's degree program.
