Brooklyn Faye Garrett of Westminster crowned Miss Clemson University 2017.

Garrett, who is majoring in Women's Leadership, was sponsored by the College of Architecture, Arts and Humanities Ambassadors.

The Miss Clemson University Scholarship Pageant, sponsored by Mortar Board Honor Society, was held Saturday, Jan. 28, at Clemson University's Brooks Center for the Performing Arts.

The 19 contestants competed in interviews, talent, evening gowns and onstage questions.

All of the contestants had to sell ads for the pageant program book, sell tickets, collect supplies for the Clemson Child Development Center and volunteer at the center. All of the proceeds benefit the Clemson Child Development Center.
