Local residents spending spring break from Clemson University helping others
2012 Mar 16Instead of spending spring break on a beach somewhere, local residents are helping others as through Clemson University's Alternative Break Program. The Alternative Break Program is organizing two trips for spring break this year. One group is travel to Pensacola, Fla., to work with Community Collaborations International on ecological restoration projects in areas that were affected by the 2010 Gulf Coast oil disaster. A second group will go to Chavies, Ky., to work with the Appalachia Service Project restoring homes in underprivileged communities.
